ReplyDeleteGlad to be a member of Lake Country Authors, a group of published writers living in the Lake Oconee area. My novel, The Sawdust Pile, has been read by a number of area residents, and I'm very interested in receiving any constructive criticism of the book and particularly suggestions or comments regarding a possible seguel which I am now considering. Please keep an eye on this blog for comments on any of our group's writing.

ReplyDeleteReally had a great time visiting with the Cuscowilla Book Club at a luncheon meeting on Sept. 15 in the Golf Club Grill. I was asked to attend to talk about my novel, The Sawdust Pile, and I was delighted to know that all but one of these charming ladies had read my book. I set aside my prepared comments and asked that the group voice anything they wished about the novel. They took me up on the request and we spent an hour discussing the book. I have never enjoyed a group of readers so much before, and it was clear from the questions and comments that these people were very sophisticated and most interested in literary matters.
Thanks very much, Cuscowilla Book Club ladies, for giving me this enjoyable and unique experience.
